ABOUT US
The Village Hall is situated on Grange Road, Meir Heath, off the A5029 Meir Heath to
Blythe Bridge Road in Staffordshire.
A charity 506032 “The Meir Heath and Rough Close Village Hall” was established in March 1977 and after 19 years of fund raising and with the donation of the land, the hall was built for use by residents of Meir Heath and Rough Close, and was officially opened in April 1996.
The Village Hall and site is owned by the Village Hall and Rough Close Village Hall Charity, being managed by the Trustees of the charity, with Fulford Parish Council being the Custodian Trustee for the site.
A small Village Hall Committee of unpaid volunteers and are responsible for the running of the village hall. The Committee are elected annually at the AGM (which is held in
September) and new committee members are always welcome.
The Village Hall was extended in 2007/8 and includes an office space, which is used by
Fulford Parish Council as a parish office.
The premises consist of a main hall, smaller function/meeting room, together with a well-
equipped large kitchen and toilets - all areas are accessible by wheelchair.
The Hall is self-funding, with the monies raised from the lettings of the hall and other rooms providing the funds for the charity, to cover the cost of general running and maintenance.
